Preview FOL Book and Bake sale. Open to Friends of the Library
11/18 Saturday 9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. FOL Book and Bake Sale; open to the public.
The Book Sale will be offering a great
selection of subjects in hard and soft cover books. Most books are priced at .50
- 2.00. There will also be puzzle’s, CD’s and DVD’s plus more items available.
Chances are there will be something of interest for everyone. Also there will be
a bake sale with a great variety of goodies to enjoy!
- 6:00pm, the
annual Festival of Trees celebration will be held at the Flagler County
Public Library. This joint event, sponsored by the Library and the Friends of
the Library, features many, many trees that are decorated by local non-profit
organizations. Our kick-off event on 12/1 will feature musical entertainment by
local County Commissioner, Nate McLaughlin. We are looking forward to
Commissioner McLaughlin entertaining us as we round down our Flagler County
Centennial Year celebrations. Following the musical background , we will welcome a return of one of our favorite husband
and wife duos, Meritt and Moreau. They have entertained us at the Library
in the past and we look forward to their uplifting music, including many
opportunities to sing along. Refreshments will be served in keeping with the
season. We look forward to having you join us. The trees are on display through
the month of December. However, the music and refreshments will only be
available on 12/1. Please join us!
2:00p.m. Fusion Folk Americana Singers, Jennings and Keller will perform:
“Judy, Joan and Joni – the Voices that Defined a Generation”. They will be
sharing the songs of Judy Collins, Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell.

HISTORY = Flagler History as compiled by members of the Flagler County
Historical Society and Friends of the Library. Here is our
project offering video, text and voice interviews of early residents. The
Flagler County History web page contains papers, video, and interviews conducted
by Friends of the Library members over the years and is an interesting store of
