10/27 2:30p.m. – Back by popular demand, Tale Tellers of St. Augustine
will be presenting a Dark and Stormy Halloween Event including scary tales,
songs and ghost stories appropriate for the season. This program is open to all
adults, teens and children that are not easily frightened by spooky, creepy,
crawly events or stories! Come test your “scarability quotient”! Yes, we made up
that word, but how scared do you think you will be? Come, check it out! Trick or
10/29 11:30 arrival: Friends of the Library Annual Business Meeting and
Author’s Luncheon. Event will be held at Grand Haven Country Club. Our
author is Bob Lee who has written two books about his experience as a game
warden and supervisor with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission. The books are, Backcountry Lawman and Bad Guys, Bullets,
and Boat Chases. Invitations will be mailed to Friends members in early
October. Books will be available for sale and autographed by the author.

HISTORY = Flagler History as compiled by members of the Flagler County
Historical Society and Friends of the Library. Here is our
project offering video, text and voice interviews of early residents. The
Flagler County History web page contains papers, video, and interviews conducted
by Friends of the Library members over the years and is an interesting store of
