THE FLAGLER COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The mission of the Flagler County Historical Society is to promote historical and cultural research and education for the benefit of the community.

The headquarters of the FCHS is the Holden House, 204 Moody Boulevard and its Annex in Bunnell, Florida.

 The FCHS was chartered as a Florida non-profit corporation on October 25, 1983,  and is a 501 ( c ) 3 tax-exempt organization.  A Board of Directors is elected annually in January and usually meets monthly on the first Thursday of the month.   Quarterly membership meetings are held at various locations in Flagler County.  History lovers are invited to join by paying $10 for an individual membership, $20 for a family, $50 for a business/corporate membership and $200 for a life membership.

2017 officers are Mary Ann Clark, president; Jan Reeger, vice president; Linda Jarosz treasurer.  Directors are Sisco Deen, Rob Creal, James Fiske,  Claudia Malo, Diane Marquis,  Prunie Rodgers, Susan Baird, Gloria Deen, Bill Ryan and Peggy Stephens.

The Holden House and History Annex are located across from the old Court House in Bunnell Florida and are normally open for visitors each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Florida Frontiers: The Television Program of the Florida Historical Society is a half-hour television program airing on television stations throughout the state. The first program premiered in January 2016. This episode is about: Flagler County was established in 1917, but has historic sites from much earlier, including Mala Compra and the Bulow Plantation. https://myfloridahistory.org/frontiers/television/episode/13
